With profound grief and deep sorrow, we regret to inform the sad and untimely demise of Dr (Mrs) Taposhi Patnaik w/o veteran       Lt Col Dilip Patnaik (1/11 GR) who left for her heavenly abode peacefully in her sleep on 02 May 2023.

        All Ranks of the Regiment, who had known Late Dr (Mrs) Taposhi Patnaik, who was a Gynaecologist and ran Kiranti Nursing Home in Krishna Nagar, Dehradun, held her in high esteem. She was a gracious host and a very kind Regimental Lady with helpful attitude.  Her motto was ‘Service to Mankind’. Void created due to her demise would be difficult to fill.

       On behalf of Lt Gen AK Singh, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Southern Command,  President Gorkha Brigade, Col 11 GR & Sikkim Scouts and all Ranks of the Regiment, we pray to Durga Mata to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.   

          Late Dr (Mrs) Taposhi  Patnaik  is survived by her daughter        Dr Arunima Goyal and sons Col Abhishek Patnaik and Dr Apurb Patnaik who are married and well settled.
